چکیده
Abstract Introduction Paraoxonase 1 is an enzyme associated with high-density lipoprotein fraction and considered to present antioxidant activity. Objectives The aim of the study was assess arylesterase activity paraoxonase (PON1) in serum patients hypertension, due effect therapy before treatment. Patients Methods. conducted 76 primary hypertension 28 volunteers for control group. Hypertensive subjects were assigned one three groups: well controlled (n=25), poorly (n=26), newly diagnosed (n=25) hypertension. We evaluated metabolic parameters all participants using routine laboratory methods, as PON1. Results four groups differed PON1 highest levels found lowest diagnosed. All presented negative correlations between systolic diastolic blood pressure. Conclusions Effective treatment could result increased activity, despite unfavorable homocysteine concentrations blood. Untreated might decrease PON.

PARAOXONASE AND ARYLESTERASE ACTIVITY AMONG HYPERCHOLESTEROLEMIC PATIENTS
Human serum paraoxonase (PON) associated with high density lipoprotein (HDL) , has been postulated to have a role in protecting low-density lipoprotein (LDL) against oxidative damage, which has led to the proposal that PON is an anti-atherogenic and anti-inflammatory enzyme. It has genetic polymorphism at the 191 (R ->Q) and two alloenzymes A and B and three phenotypes A, B, and AB. We exa...

INTRODUCTION Poor metabolic control of type 1 diabetes is one of the most important factors accelerating the development of late diabetic complications. Several other factors that might contribute to this process are currently being investigated. Low paraoxonase 1 (PON1) activity and high lipid peroxide (LPO) levels contribute to endothelial damage, but it remains unclear whether they are criti...
متن کاملParaoxonase and Arylesterase Activities in Patients with Cancer
Background: Cancer has the highest disease-related mortality rate in Iran. Reduced activity of paraoxonase reported in patients with cancer may be due to a reduction in its antioxidant properties and a subsequent increased risk of developing cancer. We aimed to assess antioxidant and oxidative status in patients with cancer through measuring the activity of PON1 as an antioxidant enzyme and det...

BACKGROUND The aim of this study was to evaluate paraoxonase-1 (PON1) and arylesterase (ARE) activities and oxidative stress status in patients with colorectal carcinomas (CRC). MATERIALS AND METHODS Thirty-three patients (20 male, 13 female) with CRC and 30 healthy controls were enrolled in the study. Blood samples were obtained from the CRC patients before adjuvant therapy. Serum samples fr...

OBJECTIVE Oxidative stress is the main pathogenetic mechanism in bladder cancer among many other causes. We aimed to investigate whether a potential relationship exists between bladder cancer and the activities of paraoxonase (PON1) and arylesterase (ARE) enzymes. MATERIAL AND METHODS The study included 56 patients with bladder cancer, and 57 healthy individuals. The relationships between enz...
